On Tuesday, Maha Music Festival got its liquor license approval from the Omaha City Council for Stinson Park. The festival also got approved to have music go until midnight on Aug. 11.
What does this mean to you? In short, it gives the festival more room in the schedule and thus the ability to feature more bands.
Maha organizers Mike App and Tre Brashear told the council Tuesday that they’d be able to “expand the scope of the festival and expand the bands on our two stages.” They say they’ll be able to bring on two more local bands, which also means another free showcase at a local venue in the months leading up to August.
