Trailer round-up: Bond, 'Anchorman 2'

"Anchorman: The Legend Continues" Fans of the 2004 cult comedy will be delighted to see that Ron Burgundy's back, along with Brick Tamland, Brian Fantana and Champ Kind. The teaser doesn't show much, but it shows what it needs to: Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner in the same room, wearing funny clothes and being stupid. "Anchorman 2's" slated to come out sometime next year.

"Skyfall" Those of you who were disappointed by Bond's last outing, 2008's "Quantum of Solace," should be reassured by the teaser for "Skyfall." Little about the plot is revealed, nor what Skyfall means, but you do get to see Daniel Craig brooding, running, jumping, shooting, falling off buildings. And look! A creepy silhouette of villain Javier Bardem.

"The Master" In Paul Thomas Anderson's first film since 2007's "There Will Be Blood," a violent drifter (Joaquin Phoenix) becomes the right-hand man of a cult religious leader (Philip Seymour Hoffman). Brief but enticing, the trailer shows a very thin Phoenix lazing about the beach and getting a psych evaluation. It's 100 seconds of good ol' WTF that marks the return of one of America's greatest (and strangest) filmmakers. "The Master" hits theaters in October.

Movie review: 'Transcendence' ends up quite ordinary

“Transcendence,” a sci-fi thriller about an attempt to meld the human mind with technology, falls far short of transcendence. So far short I had to fight off sleep.
