Nickelback ignores haters, keeps churning out the hits

Nickelback is back.

The alternately hard-rocking and pop-singing Canadian band returns to CenturyLink Center Omaha on Tuesday.

IF YOU GO:

Who: Nickelback with Bush, Seether, My Darkest Days

When: 6 p.m. Tuesday

Where: CenturyLink Center Omaha, 455 N. 10th St.

Tickets: $45 to $79.50 at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster retail locations, CenturyLink Center box office or by phone at 800-745-3000

Information: www.centurylinkcenteromaha.com or 402-641-1500

The show will be the band's fifth at the venue, where they've proven to be mighty popular. Their last performance there was a sellout.

Many know the band for songs such as “Photograph” and “How You Remind Me.” Nickelback's latest album, “Here And Now,” debuted at No. 2 and features singles “Bottoms Up” and “When We Stand Together.”

Though critics have been harsh with the band, they've sold tens of millions of albums in the United States alone. The band takes the criticism in stride:

“It's pretty hard to take it seriously. Besides, we're too busy having a good time doing what we do to really give that much attention. We're pretty busy, actually. So that really doesn't come into our lives for the most part,” Mike Kroeger told Loudwire.com.

Performing with Nickelback in Omaha will be Bush, Seether and My Darkest Days.
