You may first notice Mike Battershell's moustache or beard or shaved head (it changes regularly) when you meet him.
Soon, you'll find yourself talking to him about music, family, public service, food and all kinds of other things.
To tell us more about himself, Battershell, 36 and the president of the Hanscom Park Neighborhood Association, dropped by with his five favorite things.
1. Gym bag. Battershell's lost a lot of weight recently and this raggedy bag has been with him the whole way.
“My wife hates the bag. It's literally disintegrating.”
2. Coffee mug.
“I spend most of my life having coffees and conversations with people.”
3. Sugar-free drink.
He drinks about two quarts a day at work and at home.
4. Apple electronics.
His first generation iPod had repeated problems, so he swore off Apple productions.
“Now, I can't live without them.” His iPhone, iPad and Macbook help get him through the day.
“I always have a bracelet on or carry one. It's one of those constant reminders of faith.”
