What to Watch: 'Pretty Woman'

“Pretty Woman” 7 p.m. to 10:01 p.m., Lifetime (1990)

The movie that made Julia Roberts a huge movie star. Roberts plays a Hollywood hooker who is transformed by a corporate raider (Richard Gere) in this modern Cinderella story directed by Garry Marshall.

“Kennedy Center Honors” 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., CBS (New)

Buddy Guy, Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman, Natalia Makarova and the members of Led Zeppelin are the honorees at the 35th annual celebration hosted by Caroline Kennedy.

“Nova” 8 p.m., PBS

A look at how the great medieval cathedrals were built. The architectural marvels, made from stone and by hand, often required the labor of entire towns and some took 100 years to finish. But many are now facing deterioration and the possibility of collapse. Engineers and historians are using knowledge of how they were built to now save them.

“Castle” 8 p.m., TNT

Castle is convinced that time travel is a possible element in the murder of a mathematician shot by a 200-year-old bullet. A tricked-out DeLorean sportscar and a suspect wearing Victorian-era clothing support his theory.

“Hot in Cleveland” 9 p.m., TV Land (New)

Mamie gets flirting lessons from Elka (Betty White) on a trip to the vet while Victoria discusses life’s second chances in an interview with her daughter.

“Happily Divorced” 9:30 p.m., TV Land (New)

Fran gives romantic advice to a childhood friend who is also engaged, but her words of wisdom lead to some unusual places.
